The Mercer County Golf Academy (MCGA) is hosting a DEMO DAY at Mercer Oaks on August 23rd from 11:00 AM-3:00PM. Try all the latest equipment from all of the top brands in golf.
Attention JUNIORS ages 7 to 14-the MCGA is also hosting a Putt, Chip & Drive Competition. Entry fee is $20 and will be held at Mercer Oaks on October 18. Walk-up registration starts at 9:00 AM, Competition at 10:00 AM with Awards Ceremony at 1:00 PM.
GOT SHORT GAME?-2 Hour Short Game Clinics available 8/23, 9/27, and 10/25. $50 tuition, Noon-2:00 PM. All clinics held at Mercer Oaks.

Labor Day Weekend Marks Patriot Golf Day
Patriot Golf Day, the primary fund-raiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation, was created by Major Dan Rooney, a PGA Professional and USGA member from Broken Arrow, Okla. On September 1, 2007 thousands of golfers across the nation added $1 to their greens fees or made a donation at their golf club in support of this inaugural event. More than $1.1 million was raised to support the families of veterans who have been injured or perished in the line of duty in Iraq or Afghanistan.
This year, Patriot Golf Day will take place during the extended Labor Day weekend (August 29 – September 1) with Rooney once again at the front to lead the mission before he reports for his third tour of duty in Iraq as an F-16 pilot in the 125th Fighter Squadron of the Oklahoma Air National Guard.
Patriot Golf Day is jointly supported by the PGA of America and the United States Golf Association and has also garnered tremendous support from many of the country’s leading golf television personalities, manufacturers, media outlets and organizations. Mercer County golfers who wish to donate $1 during the holiday weekend may do so at any of the Park Commission golf courses. Participation is voluntary.
